Do you struggle to prioritise your self-care/ inner well-being? Are you busy all the time and find it difficult to switch off and relax? Do you need to get out of your head and into your body, to fully inhabit this present moment?
Moments of Stillness is a time for you to attend to your inner world, connect deeply with the stillness within and share with community in a sacred, safe and enjoyable way.
As a dancer and action oriented person, I found it very challenging to sit still and meditate untill I discovered there are many different pathways to finding and connecting with the inner peace and stillness which is always there within us. Moments of Stillness sessions are designed to get you out of your head and into the present moment using a combination of breathing techniques, guided meditation, movement, yoga and practices such as Qi-gong and tapping, and art making/ journalling. Experience a range of different approaches to integrate mind-body-heart and spirit and bring a sense of harmony and balance between these 4 dimensions of our experience. As above so below, as within, so without....
Over the course of this 7 week series you will experience:
• Mindful movement
• Mudras (hand gestures) to focus the mind and body
• Guided meditation and mindfulness
• Rituals to cleanse, set intentions and let go of what no longer serves you
• Breathing techniques
• Visualization and guided imagery
• Art making/ Journalling
• Tibetan singing bowl and Native American drumming
“ We [as a culture] have not yet fully assimilated the fact that listening to and attending to the wisdom of one’s body is a highly refined and sophisticated act of consciousness”
Testimonials from previous participants:
"The moments of series enabled a significant transformation for me in terms of physical , emotional and spiritual growth . I identified with my current pain which was a mediation in itself , the art and music therapy opened up a different creative pathway for me and I am looking forward to the next series to enable me to continue on my journey of self discovery . Meeting some beautiful souls who shared this journey with me made the Summer series very special and Anjalis knowledge and passion really enabled my growth."~ Naina
"I was a little reluctant coming to Anjali's 'Moments of stillness class' but her approach and manner within the class put me at ease and I felt very comfortable. I believe we all need 'moments of stillness' in our lives. Thanks again Anjali, look forward to the next class" ~John
"I found Anjali's workshop to be just the grounding, soothing and restoring experience I needed at the end of my busy week. I found the diversity of techniques and practices to open my mind, body and awareness. Anjali gently and joyfully lead us through a gentle and playful process that allowed us also to engage our imagination and creativity. I sense there was much gained for me through the experience at the time, and skills I will continue to draw on in my every day moving forward." ~ Emily
