UPCOMING EVENTS:
Have you ever wondered why human beings have been dancing since the beginning of human history? Or why dance has persisted across cultures and centuries in both traditional and non-traditional approaches of healing?
Movement as Medicine video series is your opportunity to experience the transformational power of movement and dance. Shift your mental and emotional states and find a sense of peace and calm, no matter what you are going through in your internal or external world. Add to your tool box of resources and learn new ways to use movement for your mind-body health (because it's more than just mental health!) and well being.

Expressions of Interest:
Are you passionate about movement as medicine? Are you a dance movement therapist or somatic practitioner with training and experience in facilitating movement and dance for healing? I would love to hear from those who offer diverse approaches including BIPOC practitioners who wish to share traditional practices using movement, dance and embodiment for transformation and healing.
If you are interested to facilitate a movement experience as part of this series, please complete the application form below. Each facilitator is invited to share a short 10-15 mins movement practice and guide me through a movement experience online via Zoom. Themes for the movement exploration includes stress, burn out, compassion fatigue, overwhelm, transition/ change and the fear of uncertainty. The video will then be edited and shared across different platforms online and on social media as well as be available for you to download and use at your discretion.

PREVIOUS EVENTS
"Dance is the hidden language of the soul"
~ Martha Graham
We have been dancing since humans have walked on the planet. For many of us dance is more than something we do, it is who we are. United We Dance is a spectacular multicultural dance showcase featuring a unique program of diverse artists and performers. The show is an opportunity for us to celebrate our diversity and share the universal joy of dance.
The first United We Dance showcase in 2016 featured more than 30 artists from Australia and overseas and was in support of a very worthy cause- Asha HerSpace. This time we thought our dancers and artists, creators and change-makers are a worthy cause too!! We want to give back to our passionate and talented dancers and performers who play such a vital role in maintaining a healthy and happy society. We would also like to put a spotlight on a local charity PTW: Positively Transforming World, a volunteer-run organisation that focuses on health and education founded by Chirag Lodhia.
Now, in it's second year, we are delighted to present a vibrant program of professional dance performances including Hip Hop/ Urban, Bollywood, Samba, Flamenco, Bellydance, Contemporary Indian dance and more. We bring together dance styles, artists and performers from a variety of different cultures in an extravagant display of talent and skill!
